Light therapy has attracted a lot of attention in the treatment of depression because of its efficacy, good safety, and portability. This article will start from the efficacy of light therapy on depression, and explore the influence of important parameters of light therapy such as light wavelength, color temperature, time point, duration of treatment, flickering, etc. on the effect of light therapy, and guide the further optimization of light therapy parameters, so that light therapy can be used in clinical treatment. Achieving better results can also provide some new perspectives and new methods for the treatment of depression in the future.
