[Abstract] Objective: To explore and analyze the behavioral and psychological symptoms of patients with Alzheimers disease (AD). Method: From January 2019 to May 2022, a study was conducted on 50 AD patients admitted to the Neurology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology (all included in mild and moderate patients). The patients were divided into mild group (a total of 29 cases) and moderate group (a total of 21 cases) based on clinical dementia quantitative scale scores. All patients received the Chinese version of the Neuropsychiatric Symptom Inventory (CNPI) to evaluate their mental and behavioral status, Compare the differences between the two groups. Results: Among the 50 AD patients, a total of 38 cases (with any one symptom of mental behavior disorder) showed symptoms, with an incidence rate of 76.00%. Among them, 21 cases were mild (with an incidence rate of 72.41%) and 17 cases were moderate (with an incidence rate of 80.95%); The incidence of apathy in the mild group of patients with CNPI was significantly lower than that in the moderate group (P<0.05); The scores of emotional apathy and abnormal motor behavior in the mild group of patients were significantly lower than those in the moderate group (P<0.05), and there was no statistical difference in the scores of other psychological and behavioral symptom factors (P>0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant difference in the probability and severity of mental and behavioral symptoms between mild and moderate AD patients, providing a reliable basis for clinical disease treatment.
