Generally speaking, architectural sculpture can be divided into "three carvings", that is, wood carving, brick carving and stone carving. In the process of historical development, Zhejiang architecture has formed a unique architectural system, its "three sculptures" decorative culture, as an important form of expression, reflects a relatively strong regional and cultural characteristics with profound artistic and cultural value. This paper collates and analyzes the investigation and research results of Zhejiang traditional architectural sculpture culture by different scholars and institutions, and discusses the carving culture in Zhejiang traditional architecture from the point of view of its historical development, current situation, characteristics and cultural implication to reveal that under the background of the new era, architectural decoration culture should be protected, inherited, innovated and developed continuously.
