objective: to explore the correlation between family burden and depression and anxiety of caregivers in patients with schizophrenia. Methods: the caregivers of 251schizophrenic patients were selected for the study. The generalized anxiety scale (GAD-7) and the patient health questionnaire depression scale (PHQ-9) were used to evaluate their anxiety and depression levels. GAD-7 or PHQ-9 ≥ 5 were included in anxiety group , depression group , non-anxiety group and non-depression group. Family burden interview questionnaire (FEIS) was used to evaluate the family burden, and multiple linear regression analysis was used for statistical analysis. Results: among the 251 caregivers of schizophrenic patients, 157 (62.55%) had anxiety and 141 (56.18%) had depression.Compared with the caregivers who were not anxious, the family burden of the anxiety group was more prominent in the aspects of the influence of the daily life of the caregivers, the mental stress and anxiety of the caregivers, the sense of intimacy and intimacy with other relatives and friends, the violent behavior of the patients and the suicidal tendency of the patients.Compared with the non-depressed caregivers, the family burden of the depression group was more prominent in the influence of the daily life of the control carers, the mental stress and anxiety of the caregivers, the violent behavior of the patients and the suicidal tendency of the patients.Further regression analysis showed that the influencing factors of anxiety included the influence of caregivers daily life, the sense of closeness with other relatives and friends, and the violent behavior of patients. The influencing factors of depression include the age of the caregiver, the impact on the daily life of the caregiver, the violent behavior of the patients, and the suicidal tendency of the patients. Conclusion: the anxiety and depression of the caregivers of schizophrenic patients are significant. The important influencing factors are the influence of the caregivers daily life, the sense of closeness with other relatives and friends, the patients violent behavior, the caregivers age, the patients suicide tendency and so on.
