Bipolar disorder is a highly recurrent disease and one of the top 30 causes of disability in the world. Treatment of the disease is mainly lithium salts, anticonvulsants or second-generation antipsychotics. Because valproic acid encephalopathy is one of the serious adverse reactions of valproic acid, it has nothing to do with the dosage and the duration of treatment, so it is necessary to combine close clinical observation and adjust the treatment plan in time in order to achieve the goal of early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment.
