【 Abstract 】 Objective To investigate the status quo and related factors of anxiety before primary glaucoma. Methods The subjects of this study were 90 patients with primary glaucoma from January 2021 to January 2023, all of whom were prepared for surgical treatment. Anxiety was evaluated 1 day before surgery. General information such as disease course and age were investigated and compared between the anxious group and the non-anxious group. The related factors of anxiety before primary glaucoma were analyzed by binary logistic regression. Results Among the 90 glaucoma patients, 42 cases of anxiety were detected before surgery. The disease course and age of the anxious group were significantly higher than those of the non-anxious group, and the glaucoma quality of life score (GQL15) and annual family income were significantly lower than those of the non-anxious group. There were statistically significant differences in education, sleep disorders and other underlying diseases between the two groups (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in gender, marriage and residence between the two groups (P>0.05). Binary logistic regression analysis showed that the course of disease, GQL15 score, family annual income, education level in primary school and sleep disorder were related factors of anxiety before primary glaucoma. Conclusion Preoperative anxiety of primary glaucoma is common, which may be related to the course of disease, economic status, educational background, etc. Targeted psychological intervention should be carried out to reduce preoperative anxiety.
