Objective: To analyze the risk factors of sudden cardiac death in elderly patients with cardiovascular disease in department of medicine during clinical treatment. Methods：Retrospective analysis was used to explore the clinical risk factors of sudden cardiac death in 100 elderly patients admitted to our hospital from August 2021 to August 2022. Results：Through statistics and careful analysis of the patients case data and family survey questions, we know that the elderly patients with sudden cardiac death are suffering from different degrees of common cardiovascular diseases, such as common coronary heart disease, hypertension, myocarditis, cor pulmonale and other acute and chronic diseases. At the same time, the main clinical risk factors leading to sudden death were smoking history, drinking history, vigorous exercise, forced defecation, mood swings and so on. Conclusion：Cause cardiovascular acute or chronic disease in elderly patients suffering from basis, during treatment there are many factors that can appear sudden cardiac death, so the staff intervention management should be strengthened, and effective monitoring of the patients condition changes, through targeted intervention measures, as much as possible to avoid the situation of the elderly patients with sudden cardiac death.
