Objective To explore the clinical value of health education for maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods 230 cases of maintenance hemodialysis patients admitted in our hospital from January 2021 to August 2022 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into control group (115 cases) and observation group (115 cases) according to simple randomized grouping method. The control group used conventional nursing methods, and the observation group used health education methods. Outcome measures: complication rate, quality of life, patient compliance, and health knowledge awareness score. Results Compared with the two groups, the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower (P<0.05). Compared with the two groups, the quality of life in the observation group was higher (P<0.05). The compliance of patients in the observation group was higher than that in the two groups (P<0.05). Compared with the two groups, the scores of patients health knowledge awareness in the observation group were higher (P<0.05). Conclusion Health education for maintenance hemodialysis patients can effectively improve patients compliance, reduce the occurrence of complications, improve patients quality of life, and improve patients health knowledge awareness score, so it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
