Objective To analyze the application effect of nurse-patient communication skills in outpatient infusion care in the post-epidemic era. Methods A total of 200 patients received infusion treatment between December 2022 to March 2023, were divided into two groups: observation group and reference group by random envelope method, 100 patients in the reference group received routine care, 100 patients in the observation group, comparing the incidence of infusion risk events in the two groups and patient satisfaction with nursing. Results Patients in the observation group had a lower incidence of infusion risk events than patients in the reference group, and their satisfaction with care was higher than those in the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion In the post-epidemic era, the appropriate use of nurse-patient communication skills is conducive to reducing the incidence of patient infusion risk events and improving patient satisfaction.
