Objective To study the application of nursing interventions for preventing pulmonary infection in patients in infectious disease wards. Method 130 hospitalized patients in the Department of Infectious Diseases from June 1, 2021 to June 1, 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and 65 as the control group, receiving general routine care; 65 people were selected as the observation group, and targeted nursing measures were taken to prevent lung infections compared to the control group. Observe the hospitalization time, pulmonary infection rate, infection duration, and nursing satisfaction of the two groups of patients. Result The infection time and hospitalization time of the observation group patients were significantly shorter than those of the control group (P<0.05); The nursing satisfaction of the observation group patients was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Nursing interventions to prevent pulmonary infection can effectively reduce the incidence of pulmonary infection in patients, shorten their hospitalization time, and improve their satisfaction with nursing. It is worth promoting and applying in clinical practice.
