Objective To explore the effect of the full-term detail nursing on the prevention and control of surgical site infection. Methods 100 hospitalized patients in general surgery department of our hospital from February 2022 to January 2023 were divided into two groups, the routine group and the study group by average score method, with 50 cases in each group, which received routine clinical nursing and detailed nursing during the operation, respectively. Then, the total effective rate of nursing, incidence of surgical site infection and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups under different management modes. Results The total effective rate and satisfaction rate of nursing were 98.00%, 94.00%, 82.00% and 78.00 respectively in the study group and the routine group, which were significantly higher than the routine group. The incidence of surgical site infection was 4.00% in the study group and 18.00% in the control group, which was significantly lower than the control group (P < 0.05); Conclusion Full-term detail nursing can effectively improve the changes of clinical index, reduce the incidence of surgical site infection, and improve the total nursing efficiency and satisfaction, which deserves to be widely used in clinic.
