Objective To analyze and explore the supportive care needs of rectal cancer patients during clinical treatment, and put forward corresponding clinical nursing strategies and methods. Methods The data of 80 patients with rectal cancer who underwent colostomy in our hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected and investigated according to the supportive care needs questionnaire. Results The "care and support needs" of the above patients were the strongest, and the specific influencing factors were significantly different from the gender of the patients, the recovery time of the patients after surgery, the degree of help of the nursing staff and the nursing expenses, that is, (p<0.05), with statistical significance. Conclusion For rectal cancer patients with stoma, special attention should be paid to the satisfaction of their supportive care needs, especially for female patients and patients with less than one year after stoma operation.
