objective To observe the effect of specialized nursing interventions in venous therapy on reducing complications in the nursing process of patients with peripherally inserted central venous catheters (PICC). Method A study was conducted in the form of comparative nursing exploration. 74 patients who underwent peripheral venous catheterization (PICC) in our hospital from March 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group (37 cases, receiving routine nursing care) and an observation group (37 cases, receiving specialized nursing intervention for venous therapy). Analyze the effectiveness of care. Results The incidence of complications during the treatment period in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, P<0.05. Comparing the treatment compliance of the two groups, the observation group was higher than the control group (P<0.05). Compared with the quality of life of patients during treatment, the observation group was higher than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The use of specialized nursing interventions for venous therapy in the care of patients with central venous catheters inserted through peripheral veins can reduce the incidence of complications during treatment, improve treatment compliance, and increase the quality of life of patients during treatment.
