Objective To develop an emergency rescue vest for transporting newborns in emergency situations. Methods By designing a vest that health care providers can safely and quickly transport newborns in emergency situations. This vest includes a coat quickly worn on the rescuers body, a bag for transporting newborns, a safety belt for protecting newborns, and reflective strips to remind other rescue personnel. Four newborns can be put into this emergency rescue suit at the same time, which can protect newborns away from the danger area as soon as possible. Results This vest is not only convenient for rescuers to quickly put on, effectively fixing and transporting newborns, but also can prevent newborns away from secondary injuries caused by rapidly transportation and insufficient rescuers in emergency situations. Conclusion The neonatal emergency rescue vest can hugely improve the transportation efficiency in emergency situations, and its design ensures the safety and convenience of the transportation process, which is worth promoting.
