Objective To study the effect of applying risk management in the care of hip fractures in the elderly. Methods This time, the study subjects of hip fracture patients treated in our hospital from July 2022 to June 2023 were selected, and the selected people were all elderly patients, a total of 58 cases were selected, and all elderly patients were randomly divided into two groups, using different nursing modes, the control group was given routine care, and the observation group was additionally applied risk management. Postoperative adverse events and complications, average length of hospital stay, nursing effect and nursing satisfaction were compared. Results The incidence of postoperative adverse events and complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), the average length of hospital stay in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group (P<0.05), and the nursing effect related score was higher (P<0.05), the nursing satisfaction of patients was significantly increased (P<0.05), and the nursing satisfaction was higher (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of risk management can improve the effect and efficiency of elderly hip fracture care, not only reduce the occurrence of adverse events and complications, but also shorten the number of days of hospitalization of patients, improve the nursing effect of nursing staff, and improve patient satisfaction.
