Objective To explore the application effect of WeChat platform in the continuous care of day surgery patients in the plastic and cosmetic department. Methods 80 patients undergoing daytime surgery in the plastic and cosmetic department from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and a comparative method was used for observation and comparison. Among them, 40 patients received traditional face-to-face care, while the other 40 patients received continuous care through WeChat platform. Results By observing and comparing the nursing outcomes of two groups of patients, it was found that the patient group using WeChat platform for continuous care showed significant advantages in obtaining nursing information, facilitating communication, and providing nursing guidance. Conclusion The WeChat platform has important application value in the continuous care of day surgery patients in the plastic and cosmetic department.
