Objective To explore the effectiveness of perioperative holistic nursing in elderly cataract surgery. Method 71 patients with elderly cataract surgery were selected for this study. The trial started in January 2022 and ended in December 2022. The trial was divided into two groups using a double-blind method. The control group consisted of 37 patients who received routine nursing care, while the observation group consisted of 34 patients who received perioperative holistic nursing care. Compare nursing results. Result The satisfaction score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistical difference (P<0.05). The observation group had shorter hospital stay than the control group, higher corrected visual acuity level, and higher score of disease and health knowledge mastery than the control group, with statistical differences (P<0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with a statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of perioperative holistic care in elderly cataract surgery can provide patients with satisfactory nursing plans, improve corrected visual acuity, shorten hospitalization time, and help to control complications. It is worth promoting and applying.
