Objective To discuss and study the self-care management of patients undergoing free flap transplantation for eyelid reconstruction. Methods The number of patients participating in this study was 68, from August 2022 to May 2023, divided into Group A and Group B. Group A received routine rehabilitation care, while Group B provided self-care management. The nursing effects of the two groups of patients were compared, and their quality of life was analyzed. There was no significant difference in the pre nursing quality of life scores between the two groups of patients, and both groups showed improvement in nursing intervention. Among them, Results the quality of life scores in Group B were higher than those in Group A. At the same time, the nursing effect in Group B was significantly better than that in Group A. Data statistics between the groups showed significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion Providing self-care management for patients undergoing free flap transplantation for eyelid reconstruction can improve their self-management awareness and ability, thereby enhancing nursing effectiveness and recovery speed. The improvement of patient self-care ability can also enhance treatment confidence, promote the maintenance of a good mentality and the development of good lifestyle habits, which is worth promoting and advocating.
