Objective This article will explore the nursing methods of laparoscopic repair of hiatal hernia in order to improve patient prognosis. Methods 56 patients with esophageal hiatal hernia admitted to our hospital were selected as the study subjects, with a period of January 2022 to January 2023. According to the voluntary allocation of patients, they were divided into a conventional group (receiving routine nursing intervention) and a high-quality group (receiving high-quality nursing intervention), with 28 people in each group. The nursing effects were compared by providing different nursing methods. Results The postoperative indicators of the high-quality group were shorter than those of the conventional group; The clinical nursing effectiveness scores of the high-quality group were higher than those of the conventional group; The incidence of postoperative complications in the high-quality group was much lower than that in the conventional group; The psychological health, physical health, social function, and material life scores of the high-quality group patients were better than those of the conventional group (P<0.05). Conclusion In the clinical treatment of patients with esophageal hiatal hernia, laparoscopic hernia repair is performed and high-quality care is provided to the patients. The clinical nursing effect is significant, which can effectively improve the patients prognosis, facilitate rapid postoperative recovery, and have high nursing satisfaction. It can effectively control the occurrence of nurse patient disputes and can be widely applied and promoted in clinical practice.
