Objective To analyze the effect of continuous nursing care on postoperative patients withesophageal cancer. Methods 100 patients with esophageal cancer who were treated in our hospital from October2021 to September 2022 were selected as the observation objects. They were randomly divided into two groups bythe method of drawing numbers. The control group was given routine nursing care, and the observation group wasgiven continuous nursing care after surgery. The psychological status, self-care ability scores and quality of lifeafter nursing were compared between the two groups before and after nursing care. Results There was nosignificant difference between the two groups in their psychological and emotional states before nursing (P>0.05).After nursing, the improvement of negative emotions in the observation group was higher than that in the controlgroup, and the difference between the two groups was small (P<0.05); There was no significant difference in thescores of self-care ability between the two groups before nursing (P>0.05). After nursing, the self-care ability ofpatients in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with a small difference between the twogroups (P<0.05); The quality of life in the observation group was better than that in the control group, with littledifference between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Continuous nursing has a positive effect on patients withesophageal cancer after operation, reducing anxiety and depression, and improving quality of life, which is worthextensive promotion and application in prognosis nursing.
