With the rapid development of Chinas material and economic level, childrens welfare work is transforming from the "feed up" to the "nurture" to "well-raised". And one of the most important aspect that reflects "well-raised " is the mental health, but the the orphaned and disabled children are more likely to suffer from psychological distress because of their special background and growing experience. If they didnt get ontime intervention in their early years, they may have trouble to fit into the society in terms of the interpersonal communication, the employment and marriage life encountered, even go to the extremes. Based on the concept of "No child should be left behind on the way of mental growth", this paper analyzes, summarizes and reflects on the implementation and clinical effects of psychological intervention for orphaned and disabled children in Changsha No.1 Social Welfare Home in the past 12 years, in order to form experience for the welfare institutions to learn to introduce psychological intervention experience at an early stage. Therefore, more orphans and disabled children can gradually cure the trauma of being abandoned, learn to accept and develop beyond the self, have more ability to feel and create the beauty of life, also gradually develop a higher functional level of the personality, as well as improve the ability to love and be loved.
