Objective To analyze the role of mind mapping in surgical nursing teaching. Methods The study was carried out in the way of comparative nursing evaluation. The subjects were 86 interns who had clinical nursing teaching in our hospital from February 2021 to February 2022. They were randomly divided into two groups according to the form of numerical table, namely, 43 in the control group. The corresponding teaching work was carried out in the conventional way. In the process of teaching the remaining 43, the mind map should be used as the observation group. The differences between the two groups were analyzed. Results By comparing the scores of the two groups of practice nurses in the theoretical examination and practical operation skills, the scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Analyzing the scores of the two groups of students on teaching satisfaction, the scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group in terms of expanding innovative thinking, stimulating learning ability, improving practical ability and helping to understand memory, P<0.05. Analyzing the rate of reaching the standard of aseptic operation, treatment cooperation and emergency treatment of the two groups of interns, the observation group was better than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Carrying out the corresponding teaching work according to the mind map in the process of surgical nursing teaching can promote the comprehensive ability of the trainee nurses, and more can make the trainee nurses more satisfied with the teaching work, and further promote the clinical nursing operation ability of the trainee nurses.
