Objective: To explore the effect of estrogen ointment on vaginal microflora in senile vaginitis. Methods: the researchers selected the time from April 2021 to July 2022. The patients were all selected from the gynecological clinic of our hospital, with a total of 60 people. They were randomly divided into the study group and the control group, with 30 cases in each group, to compare the efficacy of drugs. Results: before treatment, there was no difference in the distribution of Lactobacillus between the two groups. After treatment, the positive rate of Lactobacillus in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05); After treatment, the scores of emotion and quality of life of the elderly patients in the study group increased significantly; In the study group, the patients perineal burning sensation, itching symptoms, abnormal secretion properties and color, superficial ulcer in the vagina, etc. subsided more quickly, and the laboratory examination results showed that the time to turn negative was shorter (P > 0.01); After treatment, the levels of various female hormones in the study group were closer to the normal value (P < 0.01). Conclusion: the treatment of senile vaginitis combined with estrogen ointment on the basis of conventional antibacterial drugs can improve the therapeutic effect and speed up the time for the symptoms of vaginitis to subside.
