Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy on stable female schizophrenia patients. Methods A total of 160 stable female schizophrenia patients admitted to a psychiatric hospital from January 2023 to December 2023 were enrolled and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group with 80 patients in each group. The control group was given routine care, and the experimental group was given mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy on the basis of routine care. The intervention effects of the two groups in terms of mindfulness level, emotion and sleep quality were compared. Results The FFMQ score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), while the PANAS and PSQI scores were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05); the recurrence rate of psychiatric symptoms during menstruation in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy can effectively improve the mindfulness level of stable female schizophrenia patients, and at the same time improve their emotional state and sleep quality, which has a positive significance in reducing the risk of recurrence of psychiatric symptoms during menstruation in patients.
